Melanie Murphy put the exclamation point on the run with a long-distance make and it was 36-19 Stanford at the half. Pohlen drilled three free throws to put the Cardinal up by 20 for the first time at 41-21 less than three minutes into the second half, and UCLA was powerless to mount a comeback. The closest the Bruins got from there was 13 points, on a pair of Dixon free throws with 7;15 left in the contest.

It’s important to know how to forecast these unforeseen events and how to use them to your advantage. You can find ways to give yourself an edge by looking at past histories of teams and coaches and how they have fared in turnover wars in the past. Instead of turnovers hurting you at the wrong times, find ways to use them to your advantage.
